Our Story
Danthaja is not just a dental clinic. It is a dream of a Sri Lankan who wanted to emulate what he experienced in London in his motherland. It is a story of a group of like-minded people believing in their childhood friends’ dreams and working together to achieve a common goal. The goal of creating a space like no other and deliver the best to its clients. Danthaja is just that beautiful dream!
Inspired by the Best in the World
The Founding Director of Danthaja, Dr Lakmal Kulasekara is a product of Sri Lanka’s free education system. When he was undergoing his overseas training at Royal London Hospital, he was mesmerized by the state-of-the-art dental facility and the level of care patients were provided. He dreamed of reproducing the same level of dental care back in his home country.
Upon return to Sri Lanka, he was appointed as a consultant to Badulla Hospital. In a limited space, within a limited time, with the support of his staff, he was able to upgrade his unit to one of the finest in the country. Gradually, the Restorative unit of Badulla became a brand in government health services.
